Day by day itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Cairo
Meet our representative at Cairo International Airport for a private transfer to your 4-star Cairo hotel. Check in and rest.
Day 2: Giza Pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum
Visit the Giza Pyramids, Great Sphinx, Valley Temple and panoramic viewpoint with your private Egyptologist. Enjoy an Egyptian lunch, then explore the Grand Egyptian Museum.
Day 3: Saqqara, Dahshur, Memphis and Khan el Khalili
See the Step Pyramid at Saqqara, the Bent and Red Pyramids at Dahshur and the ancient capital of Memphis. In the evening, explore Khan el Khalili before returning to your Cairo hotel.
Day 4: Private drive from Cairo to Luxor
Depart early for the private road journey to Luxor, about eight to nine hours with comfort stops. Check in to your Luxor hotel and rest.
Day 5: Luxor West Bank, Karnak and Luxor Temple
Explore three tombs in the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch, visit Karnak Temple, then see Luxor Temple lit up in the evening. A sunrise hot air balloon is available as an add-on.
Day 6: Edfu and Kom Ombo on the road to Aswan
Drive privately from Luxor to Aswan with guided stops at Edfu Temple and Kom Ombo Temple. Allow about four hours of driving plus the site visits. Check in to your Aswan hotel.
Day 7: Abu Simbel and sunset felucca
Leave very early for Abu Simbel, about 280 km and three and a half hours each way. Visit the Great Temple of Ramses II and the Temple of Nefertari, then return to Aswan for a sunset felucca sail.
Day 8: Philae Temple, High Dam and Nubian village
Reach Philae Temple by boat, visit the High Dam and continue by boat to a Nubian village. Finish with a private transfer to Aswan airport or train station. A private car back to Cairo is available on request.
