About This Giza Pyramids Grand Egyptian Museum Tour
This Giza Pyramids Grand Egyptian Museum tour is for travelers who want to experience Cairo’s headline attractions properly without arranging taxis, negotiating at each stop or following a fixed group schedule.
Your day begins with private pickup from your Cairo or Giza hotel. An early start gives you more comfortable time on the Giza Plateau before the strongest midday heat.
At Giza, your Egyptologist introduces the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, the panoramic viewpoint, the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple. There is time for photographs and questions instead of a rushed photo stop.
If entering the Great Pyramid is important, tell us before the tour. Interior admission is separate from the standard plateau ticket, currently EGP 1,000 for a foreign adult, and remains subject to official availability.
After Giza, enjoy an Egyptian lunch before continuing to the Grand Egyptian Museum. The visit covers the Grand Hall, Grand Staircase, Main Galleries, Tutankhamun Galleries and Khufu’s Boats Museum, subject to current visitor rules.

Your Egyptologist connects the museum highlights with what you saw at Giza while leaving time for personal exploration and photographs where permitted.
The pace is private and flexible within official opening hours and the confirmed GEM timed-entry slot. Families can slow the day down; history lovers can spend longer with the guide; photographers can prioritize the panoramic viewpoint.
There are no compulsory papyrus, perfume, carpet or souvenir-store detours. If you want shopping, ask for it; otherwise, sightseeing time remains sightseeing time.
- Only your confirmed party travels with the guide and vehicle.
- Standard tickets and the published inclusions are confirmed in writing.
- Optional extras are quoted before the tour.
- Ahmed coordinates the GEM timed-entry slot and final pickup time.
Optional Add-ons
- Great Pyramid interior: current official foreign adult ticket EGP 1,000, subject to availability.
- Camel ride: available on request and never compulsory.
- Airport or extended-area transfer: quoted when timing and location are confirmed.
Optional add-ons are not included unless they appear in your written confirmation.

Tour Plan
1. Private Hotel Pickup
Recommended pickup: 7:15–7:30 AM. Your private driver and licensed Egyptologist meet you at your Cairo or Giza hotel. The exact pickup is confirmed after your hotel location and GEM timed-entry slot are known.
- No bus collection.
- No multiple hotel pickups.
- Your party leaves when your private tour begins.
2. Giza Plateau — The Pyramids of Giza
Approximate visit: 2.5–3 hours. Begin at the Giza Plateau during the cooler morning hours. Your Egyptologist explains when and why the complex developed, how the monuments relate to one another and what archaeologists know about the people who built them.
Great Pyramid of Khufu
See the last surviving Wonder of the Ancient World from outside while your guide explains its construction, purpose and surrounding complex.
Optional: Go Inside the Great Pyramid
Interior admission is separate from the standard plateau ticket. The current official foreign adult price is EGP 1,000, subject to official ticket availability. The interior has narrow passages and is not suitable for every traveler, so request it early if it matters to you.
3. Khafre & Menkaure Pyramids
Continue to the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure for different perspectives on the complex. Your private vehicle remains available, avoiding an unnecessarily long walk between major viewpoints.
4. Panoramic Pyramids Viewpoint
Stop at the classic desert viewpoint where the three main pyramids can be seen together. You have real time for photographs, and your guide helps with the best viewpoints. This is not a professional photoshoot unless a separate photographer has been confirmed.
Optional camel ride: A short panoramic ride can be arranged if you genuinely want one. It is never compulsory.
5. Great Sphinx & Valley Temple
Visit the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple while your Egyptologist explains their place within Khafre's pyramid complex and the meaning of this famous monument.
6. Egyptian Lunch
Approximate time: 45–60 minutes. Pause at a selected clean local restaurant for an Egyptian lunch. A typical menu may include grilled chicken or kofta, rice, salads, tahini, Egyptian bread and bottled water. Vegetarian meals can be arranged on request.
7. Grand Egyptian Museum — GEM
Approximate visit: 3–4 hours. Continue in your private A/C vehicle to the climate-controlled Grand Egyptian Museum. Your visit is coordinated around the confirmed timed-entry slot and can include:
- Grand Hall and the colossal statue of Ramses II
- Grand Staircase
- Main Galleries
- Tutankhamun Galleries
- Khufu's Boats Museum
Guided Highlights + Personal Exploration
Your Egyptologist connects the museum collections with what you saw at Giza, identifies the most meaningful highlights and leaves time for you to look independently, take photographs where permitted and spend longer with the collections that interest you most.
8. Private Return to Your Hotel
After the museum, your driver returns you directly to your Cairo or Giza hotel. The full private day normally lasts 8–9 hours; traffic, confirmed museum entry time and your preferred pace can affect the exact return time.
