A Complete Egypt Eclipse Journey — Private Camping from Cairo to Siwa

This seven-day private program is designed for international travelers who want Egypt’s essential sights and the 2 August 2027 total solar eclipse without a long Nile cruise or a crowded coach group. See the Pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum, follow the Mediterranean coast through Alexandria and Marsa Matrouh, then spend three nights in Siwa around the eclipse.

Every overnight uses a private serviced camping setup. All six nights use comfortable private serviced camping setups. Your party has a prepared sleeping area, clean bedding, shade, dining arrangements, toilets, washing facilities and a dedicated local service plan. The Siwa viewing field is fixed at 29.21366° N, 25.63071° E, where the planned totality experience is more than 5 minutes.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Cairo Arrival and Private Camp near Giza

Airport meet-and-assist and private transfer to a prepared camping site in the Cairo–Giza area. Settle into your sleeping tent and shaded lounge, then join Ahmed or the assigned Egypt Safari Travel coordinator for a welcome dinner, program review and emergency-contact briefing.

Meals: Dinner. Overnight: Private serviced camp near Giza.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum

Enjoy a private guided visit to the Giza Plateau, the Sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum. Standard entrance fees, transport and lunch are included. Return early enough for rest, dinner and a second night in the private camp.

Day 3: Alexandria, El Alamein and Mediterranean Camp

Travel privately to Alexandria for a focused city visit, then continue through El Alamein toward the Marsa Matrouh coast. The coastal stop breaks the journey to Siwa. The team prepares a secure private Mediterranean camp with bedding, shade, meals, toilets and washing arrangements.

Day 4: Marsa Matrouh to Siwa Oasis

Continue by air-conditioned vehicle to Siwa with planned comfort stops. After lunch, settle into a private oasis camp among palms and take a gentle sunset visit to Shali Fortress. Return for a prepared dinner and eclipse-field briefing.

Day 5: Total Solar Eclipse at the Private Siwa Field

Transfer early to the fixed private salt-flats field at 29.21366° N, 25.63071° E. Large shade, a cooled rest tent, reclining chairs, toilets, food, water, electrolytes, certified eclipse glasses, charging access and a separate tripod zone are ready before guests arrive. Experience more than 5 minutes of totality, then enjoy lunch and return to camp for rest and a celebratory Siwan dinner.

Day 6: Siwa Culture, Salt Lakes and Great Sand Sea

Visit the Oracle of Amun, Mountain of the Dead, Cleopatra Spring and selected salt lakes. In the cooler afternoon, take a private 4×4 Great Sand Sea safari with sandboarding, desert tea and sunset dinner. Return to your private Siwa camp.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Overnight: Private serviced camp in Siwa.

Day 7: Return to Cairo

Breakfast at camp followed by an air-conditioned return to Cairo with lunch and planned comfort stops. Airport or Cairo–Giza drop-off is included. Guests with an international flight should book it for the following day rather than the same evening.

Private Booking, Price Lock and Eclipse Safety

• Start with a free availability request by form or WhatsApp; Ahmed Abdelaziz confirms your private setup personally in writing.
• Each party receives its own camping configuration, dining area and service plan. Your booking stays fully private and is never merged with unrelated parties.
• The deposit is USD 250 per adult after written confirmation and is deducted in full from the tour price.
• The written price is locked after the deposit. The published price already covers the listed permits, transport, camping, meals, taxes and eclipse services, with no compulsory local surcharges.
• Ages 0–5 stay free when sharing the family setup; ages 6–11 pay 50% of the adult price; ages 12+ use the adult price.
• Certified ISO 12312-2 eclipse glasses and a safety briefing are included. Glasses are removed only during totality and replaced immediately when totality ends.

Cancellation Policy

• 180+ days before departure: refund of payments received, less non-recoverable payment-processing charges.
• 91–179 days: the USD 250 adult deposit is retained; all other payments are refunded.
• 46–90 days: 50% of the total tour price is refunded.
• 0–45 days: payments are non-refundable because event services are committed, but the booking may be transferred to another traveler up to 14 days before departure without an administration charge.
• If Egypt Safari Travel cancels: 100% of payments made to Egypt Safari Travel are refunded.

Remaining balance: due 1 May 2027 unless a written installment plan is agreed.
