Private All-Inclusive — standard Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and Karnak tickets, private licensed Egyptologist, private air-conditioned transport, Egyptian lunch, bottled water, the short Nile crossing when operationally appropriate, road costs and applicable tour service charges.
Premium tombs: Tutankhamun and Seti I require separate official tickets. Any extended-area pickup supplement is confirmed before booking.
This private Luxor day trip from Hurghada is designed for travelers who want to see the essential monuments of ancient Thebes without spending part of their holiday collecting strangers from multiple hotels or being rushed through a large coach itinerary.
The day starts early because Luxor is a substantial overland journey from the Red Sea. For most travelers, the drive takes roughly four hours each way depending on the resort, checkpoints, traffic and road conditions. The early departure is not hidden in small print. Guests should know exactly what kind of day they are booking.
In return, you get one of the strongest cultural sightseeing days available from Hurghada.
Your private driver collects you directly from your hotel in a modern air-conditioned vehicle. After reaching Luxor, your licensed Egyptologist joins the day and guides your party privately through the main sites.
We normally prioritize the West Bank first. This allows you to explore the Valley of the Kings earlier, before the strongest midday heat. The standard Valley ticket currently includes access to three regular tombs from the selection open on the day. Premium tombs such as Tutankhamun and Seti I require separate tickets. The exact open tomb selection changes for conservation and operational reasons, so we do not promise a particular regular tomb months in advance.
After the royal tombs, visit the terraced Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and stop beside the Colossi of Memnon.
Then slow the pace down.
Enjoy an Egyptian lunch at a selected local restaurant. Subject to local operating conditions, continue with a short private motorboat crossing between the West and East Banks. This is not sold as a Nile cruise. It is a pleasant break in a full sightseeing day.
The final major visit is Karnak Temple, one of the largest ancient religious complexes in the world. Your Egyptologist leads you through its most important spaces, including the Great Hypostyle Hall and its forest of 134 columns.
At the end of the tour, your private driver takes you directly back to your Hurghada hotel.
This is deliberately not a shopping tour disguised as a Luxor tour.
We do not schedule mandatory alabaster, papyrus, perfume or souvenir-store visits. If you genuinely want to shop, ask and we can help. If you do not, your sightseeing time remains sightseeing time.
The itinerary is intentionally focused. We do not squeeze Luxor Temple, several factories and every possible paid tomb into a single day simply to make the attraction list look longer online. The goal is to experience the essential Luxor highlights properly and still return to the Red Sea the same evening.
Travelers who want Luxor Temple, sunset beside the Nile, the hot-air balloon or a slower pace should choose the future two-day Luxor itinerary instead.

What We Intentionally Leave Out
Why Is Luxor Temple Not Included?
A longer attraction list does not automatically create a better day.
This tour already includes a long return road journey plus the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, the Colossi of Memnon and Karnak. Adding Luxor Temple as another compulsory stop would reduce time at the sites most first-time visitors traveled inland to see.
If your priority is Luxor Temple, sunset on the Nile, a hot-air balloon and a slower visit, the two-day Luxor itinerary will be the better product.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a Luxor day trip from Hurghada worth it?
For travelers who are interested in ancient Egyptian history and do not have time to stay overnight in Luxor, yes. It is a long day, but the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and Karnak make it one of the strongest cultural excursions available from the Red Sea.
How long is the drive from Hurghada to Luxor?
The practical road time is usually around 3.5 to 4.5 hours each way depending on the resort, traffic, checkpoints and road conditions.
How long is the full tour?
Plan for approximately 14 to 16 hours from hotel pickup to return.
What time do we leave Hurghada?
Usually around 4:30 to 5:00 AM. The exact time is confirmed for your resort and date.
What time will we return?
Usually in the evening. An exact minute cannot be guaranteed because traffic, checkpoints and sightseeing pace vary.
Is the tour private?
Yes. Your confirmed party travels in its own vehicle and is not intentionally merged with unrelated guests.
Are entrance tickets included?
Yes. The recommended all-inclusive package includes standard admission to the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and Karnak.
How many tombs can we visit in the Valley of the Kings?
The standard Valley ticket currently includes three regular tombs selected from those open on the day. Premium tombs require separate tickets.
Is Tutankhamun’s Tomb included?
No. It requires a separate official ticket.
Is Seti I included?
No. Seti I is a separate premium-ticket tomb.
Do we visit Karnak?
Yes. Karnak is one of the main included visits.
Do we visit Hatshepsut Temple?
Yes.
Do we visit the Colossi of Memnon?
Yes, as a short photographic and historical stop.
Is Luxor Temple included?
No. We protect time at the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and Karnak. Luxor Temple fits better into an overnight itinerary.
Is lunch included?
Yes.
Is a Nile boat ride included?
The recommended package includes a short private motorboat crossing when operationally appropriate. If conditions make it unsuitable, the transfer continues by road.
Are there shopping stops?
There are no compulsory shopping stops.
Do we visit an alabaster factory?
Not unless you specifically request it.
Can families book?
Yes. Send the children’s ages so tickets, seating and the correct vehicle can be confirmed.
Is this suitable for young children?
It can be, but parents should consider the early start and long road journey. For some families, an overnight Luxor trip is more comfortable.
Is the tour suitable for older travelers?
Potentially, but some Valley tombs involve steps, slopes and uneven surfaces. Share mobility requirements before confirming.
Can we choose our Valley of the Kings tombs?
The normal open selection rotates. Your guide helps you choose from the regular tombs available on your date.
Can you pick us up from El Gouna or Makadi Bay?
Yes, subject to route and final confirmed pickup pricing.
Can we add a hot-air balloon?
Not sensibly to the standard same-day itinerary. An overnight Luxor program is the correct choice.

The road journey is a real part of the experience. We explain it honestly rather than advertising an unrealistic twelve-hour day.
Valley of the Kings

The standard tour includes the Valley admission and three regular tombs available under the current general ticket. The open selection rotates. Your Egyptologist explains the history and helps choose appropriate tombs from those open on the day.
Premium tombs are optional and separate.

Your Egyptologist explains her rise to power, the temple’s design, the divine-birth narrative and the expedition to Punt.
Colossi of Memnon
Stop briefly beside the two enormous seated statues of Amenhotep III for photographs and the essential historical context.
Egyptian Lunch
Take a proper break at a selected clean local restaurant.
A typical meal may include grilled chicken or kofta, rice, vegetables, salad, bread and tahini. A vegetarian option can be requested. Share dietary needs before the tour.
Short Nile Motorboat Crossing
When operationally appropriate, cross between the West and East Banks by private motorboat. If river, weather or operational conditions make the boat unsuitable, continue by road.
Karnak Temple
Finish the major sightseeing at Karnak Temple.
Explore the main Amun precinct, the Great Hypostyle Hall and other key spaces with your private Egyptologist. Allow approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Private Return to Hurghada
